Two-Stage sterilizaton

During two-stage sterilization, the product is subjected to first-stage in-flow (UHT) sterilization and packaged into rigid or non-rigid containers, followed by a second-stage in-container sterilization.

The two-stage sterilization line is employed for the production of high-quality, long life products, eliminating the need for a filling operation under aseptic conditions. Hence, this line is eminently suitable for processors wanting to fill and package low-acid liquids at high capacity and moderate costs.

The line comprises a Stork Sterideal UHT sterilizer for first-stage in-flow product sterilization, which ensures commercial sterility with minimal impairment of flavor and other organoleptic properties of the product. The product could also be packaged in plastic bottles manufactured on Stork blowmoulding equipment.

The sterilized product and packages come together in rotary Stork Dairy filler. Depending on requirements, a volumetric or weight filler may be used. The bottles are sealed downstream from the filler in a non-aseptic environment. Subsequently, the bottles are transported to the second-stage, the Stork hydrostatic continuous sterilizer for gentle in-container sterilization which server to eliminate any recontamination of the product during bottle handling and filling.

Labeling, inspection, and casing units can be installed at the end of the line to complete the process.
