Stork Awarded Esteemed ‘Operational Excellence’ Accolade
Stork, a Fluor company, won the ‘Operational Excellence’ award at Technip’s 8th Annual Suppliers Day held in Oslo, Norway recently. This award acknowledged Stork’s commitment to the supply of subsea machining and bolting equipment including subsea bolt tensioning, subsea hydraulic torque tooling, subsea nut splitting and subsea hydraulic equipment.
The accolade was presented to Phillip Boyce, Stork’s senior operations engineer for Machining & Bolting by Odd Stromsnes, Technip’s managing director and Mohammad Khajavi, Technip’s supply chain manager, both based in Norway. Stork was recognised for services provided on a major subsea installation project delivered in Danish waters last year.
The event took place at Technip’s new operational facility in Lysaker, Oslo. Stromsnes commented: “Stork has good experience, with a clear understanding of our rental equipment requirements, and was very proactive both on and offshore. This was especially noted for critical issues where Stork was flexible, offering many solutions and delivering excellent support throughout the entire project, with early involvement.”
In November 2015, Stork commenced a three-year frame agreement for the provision of bolt tensioners, nut splitters, torque tools, flange pullers and associated services. This agreement was the first frame agreement Stork signed for services in support of the subsea sector in Norway.
Rod Agnew, vice president of business development for Stork, said: “Winning this award is an excellent achievement for Stork and our Machining & Bolting team. We are delighted that one of our key clients took the time to recognise our ongoing commitment to delivering a first-class service, all of which strengthens our position in Norway.”
Stork delivers a wide range of services direct from Stavanger, Norway including subsea tooling and hydraulic equipment, machining and bolting, caisson and drilling inspection, third-party vendor inspection, monitoring solutions, cathodic protection and composite repairs.
