What is normal? Neurodiversity Awareness

Whatever your normal is may not be the same as someone else’s…and that’s okay. Thinking differently doesn’t mean you should suppress yourself; it means finding a supportive network that can help you flourish and be your best self. No one should feel they have to hide who they are, which is why we want to encourage open and honest conversations at Stork. The ADHD Foundation encourages employers to learn more, show understanding, and allow a reasonable degree of flexibility, when required, in order to support individual needs and requirements. 

Developing the Young Workforce: A Year in Review

Across the country, many sectors face an ongoing skills shortage, coupled with an ageing workforce whereby experience, competences and knowledge may be lost. The Workforce Insight Report, published by Offshore Energies UK (OEUK), highlights the rising demand for people skilled in technical trades and vocational disciplines. Therefore, it’s vital to educate and nourish the development of future generations as they prepare to enter the world of work. By 2025, Investors in Young People’s research suggests, Millennials and Gen Z’s will make up 75% of the workforce.

Stork named finalist in 2024 Offshore Achievement Awards

For a second year in a row, Stork in the UK has been shortlisted within this year’s the Offshore Achievement Awards, hosted by SPE International. In 2023, we won the ‘Skills Development Award’ and this year have been named finalists in the ‘Post-Commercial Deployment Technology’ category for our bespoke Ultra High Pressure (UHP) cutting technology begin deployed in an offshore decommissioning environment.
