Stork Group “Safety Soundbite” September & October
Regretfully, three of our colleagues in Continental Europe were seriously injured in September. Fortunately, all 3 employees are making steady individual recoveries as the outcomes, whilst life-altering for our team colleagues, could potentially have been much worse. A global Time Out For Safety was called, led by Regional HSSEQ Leads. This is already having a positive impact - October saw a significant decrease in the number of recordable incidents sustained in comparison to the rest of this year, and was also our first month LTI free since March. |

Stork Safety Summary - May
Throughout May we experienced six Lost Time Incidents (LTIs) in a month for the second time this year - a situation that we did not encounter throughout all of 2014. This increased the total number of LTIs up until the end of May to 22 – this is 10 more than the same time period last year. This means 22 of our colleagues were injured to the extent that they could not continue to work in any capacity at that point. |

REACH Beyond Zero
‘What is it?’ and ‘why is it important?’ are now frequently asked questions. This interest is welcome and now we hope to answer these questions in brief. Further information and material will be communicated over the next few weeks. |
Stork Safety Summary - January 2015
While we are now into March, it is important to reflect on our safety performance at the beginning of the year. During January, we experienced five high potential incidents, two of which involved a fall from height. One of our colleagues broke his back in two places and another broke two ribs. This is a worrying start to the year and we cannot allow this to develop into a trend whereby more of our colleagues are involved in potentially fatal incidents and for this reason our revitalization of REACH is particularly important. |

Stork Safety Summary - November
November was a challenging month in terms of our safety performance. HSEQ Performance Review - July 2014
July safety performance shows a concerning increase in incidents. Both LTIF and TRCF have increased to 0.93 and 2.60 respectively. 3 of our recordable incidents are as a results of slips, trips and falls. Globally, we have had 21 recordable incidents of this nature over the last 12 months. |
HSEQ Performance Review - June 2014
Our statistics this month show that 8 people have been hurt resulting in recordable incidents; three Lost Time Incidents (LTI’s), four Restricted Work Cases (4 RWC’s) and one Medical Treatment Case (MTC). We have also had six High Potential incidents which means that each of these incidents could have resulted in a fatality. |

HSEQ Performance Review - May 2014
I’m delighted to report that our incident statistics continue to improve. Our Total Recordable Incident Frequency (TRIF) rate has steadily declined since February this year due to less recordable incidents occurring during the same period 2013. At the end of May our TRIF rate was 2.50, while our LTIF rate was 0.73. |
HSEQ performance review - April 2014
At the end of April our Total Recordable Incident Frequency (TRIF) rate was 2.64, which is the lowest it has been since January 2010. This is a very positive improvement and I thank you for your continued commitment to improving our safety performance. We sustained nine recordable incidents however, including five Lost Time Incidents (LTI’s), during the month which highlights that we must continue to be alert. |

I am pleased to report that the gradual improvement in our safety performance continued from February through March, with our global TRIF and LTIF rates reducing to 2.74 and 0.77 respectively. This is mirrored across our regional business with almost every region reporting a fall in TRIF and LTIF rates. This is a positive trend and we must work hard to ensure it continues. |

HSEQ performance review - January 2014
Our safety performance in January was our worst in recent months and I feel this is a particularly disappointing way to begin the year. We experienced 13 recordable incidents (3 LTIs, 7 RWCs, 3 MTCs) and one HiPo, which resulted in our colleagues sustaining fractures, burns, cuts and knocks. |
