EC 225 Eurocopter resumes operation

As of 17th July the EC 225 Eurocopter was back in operation following extensive industry testing and improvements. This is welcome news for the industry and for Stork given the pressure on helicopter space since the EC 225 was withdrawn from operation.

A memo from Erik-Jan Bijvank, SVP – UK & Africa

I am pleased to advise that as of 17th July the EC 225 Eurocopter was back in operation following extensive industry testing and improvements.

The Helicopter Safety Steering Group (HSSG) has closely monitored the Eurocopter investigation and engaged independent experts to ensure that the results and proposed solution are valid and robust.

This is welcome news for the industry and for Stork given the pressure on helicopter space since the EC 225 was withdrawn from operation.

A cross section of Stork employees and representatives have attended briefings held by Step Change in Safety and Eurocopter. Stork fully support the changes and improvements implemented, and we are confident that the measures taken and the controls put into the process will safeguard continued safe operations.
