HSEQ performance review - April 2014

At the end of April our Total Recordable Incident Frequency (TRIF) rate was 2.64, which is the lowest it has been since January 2010. This is a very positive improvement and I thank you for your continued commitment to improving our safety performance. We sustained nine recordable incidents however, including five Lost Time Incidents (LTI’s), during the month which highlights that we must continue to be alert.

While analysis of our safety statistics is important, we must not lose sight of the fact that every recordable “statistic” is the result of our colleagues being injured, it is not just a number. While many of these injuries are thankfully minor, some have the potential for far more serious consequences.
