Lessons learned - Fall from ladder

A Stork employee was injured resulting in time off work after falling from a ladder while descending a scaffold.

The scaffold was approx. 6metres in height. The employee had finished the task he started to descend down the ladder, he had his right foot on the third or fourth rung (from the top) and his right hand was holding his workbag as well as the rung of the ladder. He was unsure where his left foot was, but his left hand was holding on to the wooden scaffolding plank. He twisted his body to move his left hand onto the ladder when he fell backwards losing the grip on the right hand. He tried to move forward to regain his grip when his right hand gripped only his workbag and not the ladder rung. He then fell further back away from the ladder and consequently to the ground.
