Lessons Learned - Scaffold Ratchet

Whilst attempting to release a fitting on the bottom of a scaffolding spur with a ratchet, the tool slipped, causing the individual to strike their left hand against a fitting positioned below the spur.

In any environment you are working in, being aware of your surroundings and reading a situation is vital in the role of hazard perception.  Hazards should be identified no matter what type of work you are undertaking and you should be aware of your changing environment.  Always consider your own actions, behaviors and the conditions around you as well as the consequences that can come from them.
