RBG’s Talisman team records significant safety achievements
At the end of August 2011, RBG’s Talisman contract team REACH Beyond Zeroed a major safety milestone by operating for 12 months and delivering more than 1.4million manhours without a lost time incident.
As well as recording this significant achievement the project surpassed its target of a 20% reduction on 2010 for lost time incident frequency (LTIF) and total recordable frequency (TRCF) rates. The rolling LTIF rate is currently zero against a target of 0.56, while the rolling TRCF is only 1.03 compared with a target of 4.56.
RBG delivers a range of integrated services, including fabric maintenance, mechanical services, specialist cleaning and rope access solutions, across Talisman’s 12 assets both onshore and offshore in the North Sea.
Alistair Gracie, Talisman contract delivery manager for RBG, said: “We are very pleased with our safety achievements over the past year and all credit goes to the teams onshore and offshore for making it possible. Our safety performance when measured in terms of leading indicators such as management site visits, audits, recognition and awards is also encouraging and further demonstrates the importance of team effort. REACH Beyond Zero is a key driver for our operations and has played a major role in reaching this milestone.
“However, we must not become complacent in our aim to achieve excellent and consistent safety performance in the months ahead.”
