REACH Beyond Zero recognition for Middle East employees

The REACH Beyond Zero Recognition Award scheme wasrolled out in the Middle East in April 2013 and employees from across the region have been recieving awards for excellent safety peformance and outstanding efforts to improve Stork’s safety culture and working practices. After the REACH Beyond Zero launch in the last year it was time to take the next step with REACH Beyond Zero Recognition Award for the Middle East (ME) region employees that was first introduced in March-13. The purpose of the Recognition Awards is to motivate and encourage employees to work safely and improve their safety behaviors. In other words, this award has been established to recognize excellent safety performance and outstanding efforts to improve Stork’s safety culture and working practices.

Since April-13, we have selected and appreciated 10 employees from different departments in the ME and presented them with award certificates, letters and gift vouchers. Edwin Cruz was recognised with a Bronze award for the excellent safety example he sets to other employees while maintaining high production, while Alaa AL-Abandi recieved a Bronze award for the outstanding safety peformance delivered on a project for Orpic in Oman.

Through the REACH Beyond Zero initiative, the company is committed to becoming an example to others in safety – ensuring that our people return home safely from work after each and every shift. This success will depend upon people, their contribution and setting example to our colleagues on how they can take a proactive approach to reinforcing the importance of safety in our everyday lives.
