Stork Group “Safety Soundbite” - June

In the month of June, nine colleagues sustained work-related injuries which required more than basic first aid.  One of our colleagues in UK & MEA region suffered a serious injury when a 63kg metal skip lid closed unexpectedly on his hand - click here to read the incident Safety Alert and share with your teams.

Looking back at the first half of this year, hand and finger injuries account for one third of all injury related incidents in Stork.  Let’s take time out for safety to address this. Call for a ‘stop and reassess’ - the task may seem routine but the hazards must be identified each and every time.

Complacency is leading to injury, always think about the job at hand. Because some tools can’t be replaced.
