Stork Safety Summary - May
Throughout May we experienced six Lost Time Incidents (LTIs) in a month for the second time this year - a situation that we did not encounter throughout all of 2014. This increased the total number of LTIs up until the end of May to 22 – this is 10 more than the same time period last year. This means 22 of our colleagues were injured to the extent that they could not continue to work in any capacity at that point.
Our colleagues have experienced serious injuries including amputations, burns, fractures and cuts which has not only affected their ability to
work but also their personal lives outside the worksite. All injuries are preventable so to have so many of our colleagues seriously injured is an
unacceptable situation.
