Stork has been shortlisted for the SPE Offshore Achievment Award for 'Safety Innovation'.

Stork’s is shortlisted along with Houlder and Reflex Marine for its innovative Inertia Reel Anchor scaffolding innovation. The anchor allows scaffolders to safely attach their complete fall arrest equipment to any application of scaffold in locations where there is no adjacent steelwork.

The anchor, which was developed by the company’s scaffolding department, allows operatives to safely attach their complete fall arrest equipment to any application of scaffold in locations where there is no adjacent steelwork.

The development of the anchor was driven by Bill Abbott, Group Scaffold Manager for Stork,  who ensured rigorous design, manufacture and testing process was followed to ensure the anchor was approved to the highest industry safety standards and specifications.

Stork is also shortlisted in the 'Innovation' category for its industry-first Hot Bolt Clamp technology.

The winners are announced on Thursday 21 March at a ceremony held at the AECC, Aberdeen.
