Stork shortlisted for prestigious safety award

Stork has been shortlisted in the ‘Safety’ category of the EI Awards 2013 for its industry-leading REACH Beyond Zero safety initiative.

Stork is one of six organisations shortlisted for the award, which acknowledges the year’s most impressive new step towards enhancing the energy industry’s safety record. The ceremony takes place at the Sheraton Park Lane, London on 14 November 2013.

REACH Beyond Zero was launched across Stork’s global operations in November 2012 and is the company’s platform for delivering continuous improvement in safety performance.

As a sustainable, long-term commitment,  under the strapline ‘improving safety together’, REACH Beyond Zero has created a single, global culture and platform for engagement by building on positive messaging that motivates, unites and empowers employees.

Mike Mann, SVP – Global HSSEQ, said: “It is a great achievement to be shortlisted for this award and again highlights the positive perception of REACH Beyond Zero across the global energy industry. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the safety of our colleagues and clients, and REACH Beyond Zero is the platform that drives this change. Our aim is to become a world leader in safety and this shortlisting shows we are making some progress to achieving this.”
