Stork’s UK Occupational Health Team wins at Offshore Safety Awards

Congratulations to Stork’s Occupational Health Team who have been named winners at this year’s Offshore Safety Awards within the Occupational Health category.

Offshore Safety Awards – new look and feel

The interactive ceremony took place today at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre and was jointly organised by Oil & Gas UK and Step Change in Safety.  The event celebrated individuals and teams who are practicing health and safety offshore and onshore in innovative and inspiring ways.

Nominees in six different categories were whittled down to 18 finalists and each took their turn at their stands, to explain to those attending what they or their company has done to earn their finalists’ place. Their efforts were also explained via video selfies, which can be viewed here.

Earlier this morning we asked you and event attendees to vote for who they wanted to win in each category via electronic polling.  Thank you to all of those who showed their support and of course our Occupational Health team for their hard work and commitment, which has truly paid off.

Stork's Occupational Health Facility - why did we win?

In 2015, Stork demonstrated our commitment to Occupational Health, by opening the doors to our newly purpose built Occupational Health Centre.

The Centre provides Stork with a hub to deliver health interventions that specifically address the requirements and health needs of our workforce.  From health screening and surveillance programmes for employees exposed to occupational health hazards,  health and wellbeing support such as training programs for employees in safety critical roles and Active Case Management through to return to work schemes.

The facility truly allows us to tailor our support to the specific needs of our employees.

Well done and congratulations once again to our Occupational Health Team!
