Stork Kuwait wins Gold in ASSE GCC HSE Excellence Award 2018
Stork Kuwait won two Gold Awards at the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) GCC HSE Excellence Award Competition.
The Award ceremony was held at Radisson Blue Kuwait on Monday, 25 April 2018. Eng. Faisal Dweeh Al-Attal, Chairman of the Kuwait Society of Engineers, presented the awards to the Stork Kuwait Regional team. We had won a Bronze Award in 2016 and we bagged the Gold Award in 2017, winning the Gold again this year stands as an excellent example of our constantly improving efforts in HSE.
American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) GCC HSE Excellence award recognizes leadership, excellence and encourages exceptional performance in the field of HSE in the private sector in the Middle East region. The award is instituted by the ASSE – Kuwait chapter, a non-profit voluntary organization. This evidence based award showcases successful business models of organizations which uphold HSE management as a business value and excel in it.
The award scheme is devised to recognize and reward those GCC private sector organizations who have been successful over the course of the year in managing the risks of workplace, development and their HSE performance besides doing ethical business.
Registering for the award is open to all private sector organizations in the GCC countries. Organizations are required to submit details as per the criteria provided in the application booklet from ASSE . The detailed criteria demands the organization to demonstrate consistent continual improvement or sustained leading performance in HSE for the past three years.
Award Categories were: Engineering & Construction, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Facility & Maintenance, and Sectors (projects, contract specific or services). We had submitted our entry through the sector category for Asset integrity services & Mechanical Maintenance services.
The evaluation is performed by an independent panel of HSE professionals from ASSE, headed by president ASSE-USA, Vice president – Global Region ASSE-USA and President of the Kuwait chapter.
