Stork, proud keynote speaker at the National Oil & Gas Event in Colombia ´II Cumbre de Petroleo y Gas´

Stork was present in the national oil and gas event (II Cumbre de Petroleo y Gas), the most important energy event in Colombia. On this occasion, Stork was invited to share our expertise on turnarounds and pipelines.

Luis González, Project and Constructions Manager, was Stork´s keynote speaker for the following presentations:

  • The formula # 1 (F1) for a turnaround: a planned race. Luis explained how Stork minimizes downtime and maximizes performance. His innovative way of comparing a plant turnaround with a pit stop in Formula made the audience really connect. With this presentation, more clients had the chance to:
    • Learn about Stork´s vast experience performing turnarounds in Colombia and the world.
    • Understand how Stork focusses on the reduction of scope within the shutdown window, making the process simpler, more transparent and more efficient. Always listening to our clients needs and developing a plan to ensure efficiency in the turnaround, extend maintenance intervals and optimize the total cost of operation.
  • Experience in process safety in pipelines: Luis had the chance to show our extended pipeline experience in Colombia and how we ensure every process in the planning phase, during the execution and finalization of every work we do.

Both invitations to be keynote speakers are a valid proof of how Stork is considered the industry reference in turnarounds and pipeline maintenance in Colombia. Being part of this this event also allowed our business development managers to share with current and potential O&G and Energy clients how Stork can be a key partner in their operations.

As the presentation on Safety Process was a success, in 2020 we will be keynote speakers in the Congress Expomantener on Safety Process, looking to share our knowledge with our current and potential clients.
