Successful burner-launch for district heating in China

China has a range of policies for reducing emissions based on the National Action Plan on Climate Change. Part of this policy is to replace older polluting coal fired plants for district heating with low emission natural gas fired plants. Working with boiler manufacturer Nantong Wanda, Stork Thermeq supplied four Natural Gas fired Ultra Low NOx Stork Impuls burners each firing into a 17 MW hot water boiler. The emission requirements were very tough: a NOx-value of maximum 60 mg/Nm³ without the use flue gas recirculation (FGR). After commissioning, the Stork Impuls burners showed a NO×-level below 45 mg/Nm³. Launching customer Huasheng was very satisfied with these emission level combined with a very stable and reliable burner operation.

Please find here some pictures of the Stork Impuls burners.
