Thermal insulation blankets are used to cover the heating elements on a heat treatment set up to; help ensure the desired temperature is reached, reduce heat losses away from the edge of the heaters, and provide personnel protection.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

This 25mm thick Insulation blanket roll is supplied in 7.3m rolls without stainless steel mesh.

96 kg/m³ density insulation, though costing a little less, has lower insulation properties than 128 kg/m³ insulation.

Note: As Ceramic Fibre blanket is classed a Class 2 Carcinogen in Europe, it is not normally used in localised site heat treatment work, except where necessary, and appropriate safety measures have been applied. Alternatively, Superwool blankets are recommended as a lower hazard option.
