Ceramic fibre insulation blanket 128kg/m³ 25x600x600mm

Thermal insulation blankets are used to cover the heating elements on a heat treatment set up to; help ensure the desired temperature is reached, reduce heat losses away from the edge of the heaters, and provide personnel protection. These Insulation blankets are supplied wrapped in stainless steel mesh which improves reusability of the insulation.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

128 kg/m³ density insulation, though costing a little more, has better insulation properties than 96 kg/m³ insulation.

This 600mm wide x 600mm long blanket is normally used for pipe welds up to 150mm (6”) diameter, as a single blanket or larger diameters when used with additional blankets.

Note: As Ceramic Fibre blanket is classed a Class 2 Carcinogen in Europe, it is not normally used in localised site heat treatment work, except where necessary, and appropriate safety measures have been applied. Alternatively, Superwool blankets are recommended as a lower hazard option
