HSEQ performance review March 2011
I am disappointed to report that March has been our poorest month this year. We reported a total of five recordable incidents, two of which resulted in lost time incidents.
You might be surprised to learn that four of the five recordable incidents related to finger and hand injuries, which is actually one of the most common injury types in our industry.
Finger and hand injuries are avoidable, and we must make a concerted effort to eradicate these from our working lives. To support you in doing so, this month’s safety theme is dedicated to the subject of finger and hand care. I urge you all to engage with this campaign by way of enabling an improved safety performance across our business.
Together, we can deliver outstanding safety performance to be proud of.
