Mike Mann shares RBG’s HSEQ strategy for 2011
In December last year we celebrated REACH Beyond Zero's first birthday. During its short existence, it's clear that it has been a success.
REACH Beyond Zero has supported us in radically improving our safety performance. The facts speak for themselves. In the UK, for example, we have reduced lost time incidents frequency by 51.2% - a fantastic result for an initiative that has just passed its first year. We've also witnessed major behavioural shifts across our operations and a marked commitment to proactive safety engagement.
So where do we go from here? This year, REACH Beyond Zero will shift from being purely about safety to focusing on the full HSEQ remit.
I believe that we have something very special in REACH Beyond Zero, something that is unique in our industry. As we apply this successful framework to the full HSEQ spectrum, I have no doubt that we shall continue to improve our safety performance, health and wellbeing, environmental impact and quality of work. In doing so, RBG will maintain its position as a support partner of choice to the global energy industry.
We know we can do it, so let's continue improving HSEQ together. Working as one RBG, we really can make a difference.
