We are your independent partner for high quality End of Warranty inspections, including detailed reports, recommendations and analysis. To pinpoint equipment failure we perform oil analysis, vibration measurements and thorough visual inspections.

Preventive maintenance 

Preventive maintenance helps to avoid future unplanned breakdowns and potentially costly repairs.
Vibration analysis is an effective technique for monitoring the condition of the gears and bearings and determing the root cause of machine failure. With our CSI portable spectrum analyzer and Bentley Nevada multi-channel real-time analyzers we are able to carry out on-site vibration measurements detecting various sorts of gearbox problems:

  • gear damage (e.g. scoring, abrasive wear)
  • bearing defects (cage fractures, inner/outer ring damage)
  • alignment errors
  • looseness
  • imbalance
  • resonance areas

RECENT PROJECTS

Stork Diagnostic Services was recently hired to carry out visual inspections as well as vibration measurements at windturbine gearboxes in Europe. This combination results in a complete overview of the condition of the gearbox.

Stork Gears & Services carries out an increasing number of gearbox repair projects at wind turbines, often in combination with vibration measurements. Vibration analysis is an effective technique for monitoring the condition of the gears and bearings and determine the root cause of equipment failure.
