Safety Alert - Cracks found on Petzl ASAP Lock devices

During routine equipment inspections, cracks were detected on the stainless steel arms on three Petzl ASAP Lock devices. Albeit the defects were not discovered on any Stork equipment or workscopes, this piece of equipment is routinely used by Stork personnel during our rope access operations.

With immediate effect and as a matter of routine thereafter, a visual inspection must be carried out on ALL Petzl ASAP Locks, specifically around the stainless steel arms. If there are any suspected items found they must immediately be taken out of use and quarantined.  Please return all defective locks to Stork’s Aberdeen Base as per our normal procedures.
