Stork opened a new regional office for its Australian and New Zealand operations. The new regional office in Moorebank, a suburb of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia, will oversee the combined operations of Fluor Operations & Maintenance and Stork’s businesses, including Giovenco Industries acquired by Stork in 2015. The organizations share a history of over 60 years serving the Australian oil & gas, metals & mining, rail, chemical, and power industries.
The Moorebank office supports Stork’s local offices and site teams at client locations throughout Australia and New Zealand. The Stork local offices are in Brisbane, Chinchilla, Perth, Kwinana and New Plymouth (NZ). Stork is currently active at client locations in the Australian states of New South Wales, Queensland, West and South Australia and Victoria as well as throughout New Zealand.
“The new regional office in Moorebank will act as our hub from where we can build upon a combined portfolio of unique capabilities that Stork, Giovenco and Fluor bring together. This office will also be connected with the larger Stork global organization with its close to 19,000 employees, and the larger Fluor Corporation. Our objective is to grow our industrial maintenance and operations business in this important region,” said Taco de Haan, president of Stork, at the opening celebration. “Consolidating our regional office to the Greater Western part of Sydney and bringing all that experience under one roof, is part of Stork’s onboarding process to increase value to our client base, reduce our cost and position for continued growth.”
