Caisson cleaning & inspection
Stork was contracted by a major Operator to deliver a full caisson cleaning and inspection workscope on a platform in the UKCS. The workscope required Stork to deliver bespoke Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) and Ultrasonic Wall Thickness Mapping.
Rope access - GLT-PLUS
Stork's rope access solutions reduced a project lead time for NAM by 25%, compared with a traditional scaffolding approach. Utilising rope access also significantly reduce the risk on the project.
Hot Bolt Clamp - Onshore Gas Processing Plant
A client had corroded studbolts on live pressure vessel flanges in its onshore gas processing facility. Stork recommended that its patented Hot Bolt Clamp (HBC) technique be applied, allowing it to remove and replace the bolts while the plant was still in production.
Rope access inspection - Ecopetrol
The client’s new refinery could not be commissioned until a pressure loss issue in the gas supply line to the flare pilot flame was resolved. Stork mobilised a multi-disciplined rope access team and quickly identified and remedied the issue through an inspection and testing program.
Hot Bolt Clamp & Rope Access - North Sea
Stork was contracted by a major North Sea Operator to survey the corrosion of flange bolting at height. Stork deployed a rope access team for access, with the flanges and the bolting quickly and safely replaced using the Hot Bolt Clamp, all while the system remained online.
Heat Treatment Services - TAQA
Stork were initially contracted to provide two separate workscopes prior to a planned shutdown on TAQA’s North Cormorant. This included, heat treatment to nozzles on a vessel and the application of pre and post heat treatment to pipework.

Stork completed 14 workscopes between 2009 & 2014 to complete online desanding on an FPSO’s First and Second Stage Separator (20-VA- 001 & 20-VA-002) using the state of the art, Advanced Online Desander (AOD) Skid.
NDT - Conductor inspection
Stork was challenged to inspect and clean a 144 meter long conductor on a North Sea offshore platform in December 2014. The objective was to evaluate the condition of the conductor to ensure its integrity and confirm its conformance with HSE legislative standards.
North Sea Operator - Extended reach breathing apparatus system (ERBAS)
Stork was approached by a major Operator to supply a complete breathing system for work required inside the platform leg on a North Sea asset.
Composite repair - Offshore UK wind farm
A supplier was asked by a client to develop a Composite Repair solution for an offshore UK wind farm, to minimise the damage being caused to boat landing bumpers by boat fender rubbing. Stork’s multi-skilled Composite Repair personnel were brought in to deliver the repair.
AVR - Steam Line & DH Exchange Station
