Stork’s high operational standards ensure our employees continually drive to improve the performance of our client’s assets. This means that when our employees go above and beyond, we recognise this hard work and celebrate their achievements.

Stork’s Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Team (HVACR) Team, James Duffy, Farhad Efendiye and Davie McLean, who are currently working in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, are all great examples of employees who showcase great working practises and we are proud to present this three man team with an Operational Excellence Award.

Throughout their time at Stork, James, Farhad and Davie have all been recognised by both onshore management, based in our offices in Baku, Azerbaijan and Aberdeen, UK and our client, due to their outstanding commitment during offshore rotations.

With summer temperatures in the Azeri region reaching in excess of 42 degrees offshore, cooling and air conditioning systems for accommodation, the electrical switch room, control and commination compartments are essential during the summer months. Offshore, it’s common to have temperature and humidity sensitive electrical equipment with an automatic shutdown temperature lower than the heat outside. The critical nature of the HVACR systems on-board means that breakdown and repair actions during these months are closely monitored, leading to additional workloads being placed on the HVACR engineering teams.

Even with these added pressures, Stork’s HVACR Team continuously go above and beyond to remain professional at all times, working hard to quickly resolve any issues and ensuring expectations are not only met, but surpassed.

Due to this and with the support of our client, Stork is proud to recognise this three man team, James Duffy, Farhad Efendiyev and Davie McLean and thank them for their contribution and dedication to our work in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea.
